Super Money South Africa, part of a New York Stock Exchange-listed group, is building a Rand-backed stablecoin from South Africa for Africa and beyond. Working with the executive leadership team, we refined the positioning, sharpened the identity and rebuilt the website as the front door for two audiences.

Serious credentials, undersold by the brand.

‍

South Africans have no shortage of ways to pay. What they lack is trust in digital money, and stablecoins carry the most skepticism of all.

‍

Supercoin entered with a strong product truth: a Rand-pegged stablecoin issued on Solana, backed one to one by Rand reserves at a South African bank, operated by a crypto asset service provider licensed by the FSCA under the FAIS Act, and backed by a listed group with continental ambition. The brand did not carry any of it. A thin visual system and a static website meant partners, prospects and regulators were meeting something that looked like a token launch, not the infrastructure it is.

‍

The gap was not awareness. It was credibility.

‍

THE STRATEGIC MOVE: POINT THE ENERGY AT THE FRICTION, NOT AT THE INSTITUTIONS.

‍

  1. Financial brands usually pick one of two identities. Credible, which earns trust and loses energy. Or rebellious, which wins attention and forfeits regulatory standing. We refused the choice.
  2. The move was to aim the brand's energy at waiting, not at banks. Supercoin is not against institutions. It is against the three-day clearing cycle. That one decision gave every claim a place to stand, and let regulatory posture work as a brand asset rather than a footnote.

Speed without credibility is crypto. Credibility without speed is a bank. The brands that win this category live in the space between.

‍

A brand system the team can run, and a website that carries the proof.

‍

Brand refinement and direction

Positioning, brand idea, values, personality and voice, built as a working system the leadership team applies without us in the room. A visual language that signals fintech seriousness: deep navy, glass surfaces, restrained motion, and none of the neon clichés of a token launch.

‍

WEBSITE DESIGN AND BUILD

Rebuilt on Webflow so the business publishes without a developer in the loop. Two front doors on one narrative: the consumer wallet and the ZARsc rail for business. Licensing, reserves, custody and exchange availability sit where a sceptical reader looks for them.

Brand is economic infrastructure.

‍

In a category where trust is the whole product, positioning decides who partners with you, how regulators read you and how fast a sceptical customer says yes. Supercoin's credentials were real before we arrived. Our work made them legible.

‍

This is where we do our best work: alongside the executive leadership of a high-ambition business, at the point where positioning decisions are made.

The PROOF

‍

A brand with a point of view.

A licensed South African fintech with continental ambition, presented as exactly that.

‍

Credentials made visible.

Licensing, backing, custody and monitoring on the surface, in wording compliance can sign off.

‍

One brand, two audiences.

Treasurers and consumers meet the same idea and draw the same conclusion.

‍

A platform the team can run.

Webflow, a voice guide and a visual system applied without agency dependency.

‍

Foundations for what follows.

Exchange availability on Luno, VALR and OVEX on the site. The wallet launch builds on this work.
